Why 20 to 30 emails per inbox per day is the ceiling
Mailbox providers score every sending address on its own history: how many messages it sends, how many get opened, replied to, deleted unread or marked as spam. A cold inbox has none of that history, and cold email by definition gets low engagement compared with mail between colleagues. Keeping each inbox at 20 to 30 cold emails per working day leaves room for warmup traffic, keeps the ratio of replies to sends healthy, and stays well inside the informal thresholds providers use before throttling a new account.
Pushing an inbox to 50 or more a day does not double your results. It compresses your reputation runway: one bad list or one complaint spike takes down a high-volume inbox faster, and the domain behind it goes with it. Scale with more inboxes, not more emails per inbox. That is the whole reason this calculator exists.
